Dairy Veras Reeves, founder and owner of Universal Car Rental, was born in 1982 in Nagua, Dominican Republic. Her family had very humble beginnings, reason why her mother, trying to get a better life for her kids, Dairy and Delbis, decided to move to Sosua. They moved to Sosua in 1989.

At a very young age, her mother made sure she learned English and in 1995 she graduated. Thanks to the kindness of the school owner she was able to study Typing at the same time. Learning English opened a lot of doors for her and in 1997 and 1998 she worked as a receptionist for a few hotels in the area.

At the end of 1998 she started working for a local Car Rental agency, where she got experience and made enough money to buy her first car, and then a second car and so on. It was the year 2000. That’s when Universal Car Rental happened. She was about 18 years old.

Dairy speaks Spanish, English, French and even some German (not much at all) and having a passion for numbers, in 2002, she got a B.S. degree in Accounting. She graduated Cum Laude.

Universal Car Rental, thanks to the effort of the great people around her, —God, Family, Friends, Employees—, and to the loyalty of its Customers has become one the most successful Car Rental businesses in town and in the North Coast and it’s looking to expand in the near future.

She recently married Darryl Reeves.

Personal Character: Dairy is a very friendly, proper and smart young lady who enjoys learning new things and specially getting to know new cultures and languages. She has very strong leadership skills and believes that respect, integrity and good communication are the foundation to have good, long-lasting relationships.

She is a family person and is very, very close to her mother Lucila and her brother Delbis, as well as her grandmother, uncles and cousins. Delbis is the Car Rental Manager.

She has a kind heart and has always been interested in finding ways to help people. Soon she will be starting a charitable cause to help* the people from her country. The organization will help mainly with education, medicine and sports.
