THE FOLLOWING TERMS AND CONDITIONS ARE THE ENTIRE AGREEMENT BETWEEN UNIVERSAL CAR RENTAL AND YOU. PLEASE READ THEM CAREFULLY. IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS, PLEASE DO NOT HESITATE TO CONTACT US.

Definitions

The term "Customer" refers to the Car Rental renter and includes every person named on the car rental contract; the term "Universal Car Rental", "Car Rental" or “Universal” refers to the company, its owners, manager, employees and any and all affiliated or related person or company.

Rental confirmation

When making an online reservation an email confirmation will be sent to the email address you provided when reserving. This email will include all your reservation details (date, length of rental, price, etc), please review these details and if there’s any discrepancy, please contact us as soon as you can. The sooner you let us know the easier it would be for us to make sure we provide you with the best possible service.

You should receive this email within a couple of minutes, if you don’t, please check your junk mail. If you do not have our confirmation email, then we probably don’t have your reservation in our records, please contact us. If you’re making a reservation for within five days or less, please allow us to make sure we can provide you with the vehicle you require, at the time you require. Please provide us with a telephone number and one of our representatives will contact within the next 24 hours to complete the reservation process. Please feel Forms of payment:

We will always prefer an upfront payment. Meaning we would like the payment to be made, at the latest, when delivering the vehicle. Some exceptions may apply, and we will allow for the Customer to pay at the end of the rental. But always, with no exceptions, a credit card or cash deposit is required at the time of the rental. The deposit should cover the deductible, and in case the payment is not made upfront, the rental car payment. You can choose to either pay online or when we deliver your vehicle. If you decide to pay online, the payment will be processed through PayPal.

If you decide to pay at the time of the rental, you can use a credit or debit card (VISA, MASTERCARD, AMERICAN EXPRESS, DINERS CLUB, DISCOVER); you can use cash: Pesos, American and Canadian Dollars, Euros, Swiss Francs and Sterling Pounds, and their respective Travelers Check. You can also pay by WIRE TRANSFER, but it must be received before we deliver the vehicle or, at the latest, by the last day of the rental. In this case a credit card or cash deposit must be made to cover for the deductible and the rental payment.

Cancellations

When canceling a confirmed (paid) reservation a full refund will be processed. The funds will be refunded to the original form of payment unless otherwise requested. If payment was made by credit card the refund will be processed within 3 days of the cancellation date. Please allow 3-5 business days for the credit to actually show in your account after it has been processed. Some exceptions may apply. Please read below for the details.

When cancelling an unpaid reservation Universal will be more than grateful if the reservation is cancelled at least 3 days or more in advance. We understand that special circumstances may occur.

Charges on cancellation

If the reservation is cancelled the day off and a drop off charge was applied to the reservation, then a drop off charge will be assessed. The drop off charge will be the same as if the vehicle was delivered.

Also, the first day of the rental will be charged.
